
We may divide the eligibility conditions to appear OPSC OAS examination in three categories as follows:
1. Citizenship: To be eligible to appear in the examination the candidate must be a citizen of India
2. Age Limits: A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not be above the age of 32 years on the 1st day of January, 2020, i.e. he/she must not have been born earlier that 2nd January, 1988 and not later than 1st January, 1999
Condition-1: The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for candidates belonging to the categories of SCs, STs, SEBCs Women, Ex-servicemen and 10 years for PWD candidates.
Condition-2: A person who comes under more than one category mentioned above, shall be eligible for only one benefit of upper age relaxation, which shall be considered most beneficial to him/her.
Condition-3: Save as above the age limits prescribed can in no case be relaxed.
Condition-4: Date of Birth entered in the High School Certificate or equivalent Certificate issued by the concerned Board/Council will be accepted by the Commission
Condition-5: Persons with Disabilities belonging to SC/ST/SEBE categories are eligible for cumulative age relaxation benefit.
3. Educational Qualification: A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree from any University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or an Educational Institution established by an Act of Parliament or deemed to be a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or a Foreign University approved by the Central Government.
