OAS Prelims Trend Analysis: Indian Polity and Governance

After reviewing the two previous year OAS Prelims General Studies Questions Papers, we found the following data. We have not take, in to consideration of earlier question papers of 2011 because of the change in syllabus in 2015.

1. The most Important Chapters are:

b) Indian Judiciary
c) Election and Political Parties

2. The moderate Important Chapters are:
a) Constitutional Development, Constitutional Assembly, Features, Preamble
b) FR, DPSP, FD
c) Federalism: Union and State Relations, Emergency Provisions
d) Amendments, Schedules, Parts, Articles etc..
e) Constitutional, Statutory and Other Important Functionaries
f) Local Governments, Panchayati Raj and Municipalities

3. Not Important According to the current trends but You may not completely omit them:
a) State Government: Executive and Legislature
b) Minorities and Languages
c) Misc.
